A Community Gym in Shekou that has something for Everyone
In the summer of 2011, a group of friends from the Shekou community banded together to create a gym that the community could call their own. Largely tired of the existing facilities with aging equipment that never got fixed, unsanitary facilities and a general lack of quality training equipment, the assorted group of rugby-players, martial artists and fitness-enthusiasts endeavored to create a facility that would cater to everyone’s fitness needs. Two years on and with recent renovations, that dream has largely become a reality with Fusion Fitness.
The team has designed a gym, now reincarnated as Fusion 2.0, featuring training zones throughout the spacious, well-equipped facility that cater to almost every conceivable fitness regime.
The Interval Zone is the cardio machines set-up to be able to hold Small Group PT Classes for Interval Running Training, Triathlon Training and the like.
The Express Zone is a Circuit Set-up of the weight machines, combined with interval approach of a cardio vascular activity, means the zone is set-up for a member to come into the gym themselves jump onto the circuit, get a full body workout in 20 minutes, plus intervals of cardio and be done and ready to leave in just about half an hour. Time Efficient, and it’s also cost efficient to, because it’s all weight machine based you face far less technique concerns and can get on much more safely with a workout of your own and not have to always have a trainer.
The Functional Zone is where a lot of the Personal Training takes places, and contains a few more advanced pieces, that aim to give clients the popular “Functional Training Effect”
The Athletic Zone is set-up for pieces that would be perfect for any Athletic type strength and conditioning training. Whether it is Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Swimming, this zone is really for you and would be the most efficient type of training if you were doing any level of sports activities.
The Mixed Martial Arts Zone is an area open to gym members at all times and equipment provided for this type of training, Mixed Martial Arts Conditioning.
The Power Zone is set up just for our Hard-Core heavies who like to do all those 1 rep-maxes, Olympic Lifting, Heavy squats, and Heavy Deadlifts.
The Cross-Fit Zone is set-up for all those Cross-Fit enthusiasts, which means it will have all the appropriate pieces for daily WODS set up and will also have the space needed to have 4-6 contestants go at the same time.
Fusion often has community-centric fitness challenges and open group classes run by the gym’s number of expert personal trainers from China and abroad that can also be hired to help members get acquainted with the facility and to help them find the best fitness regime to suit their goals.
